Happy Mother’s Day 2018

May 13, 2018 / by Sicola / Leave a Comment

Dear Motherhood,

Being a mother is one of life’s most precious gifts and the hardest job on planet earth. Managing the growth of my children is a never-ending task. Failure is part of the journey, but I win more than I lose when it comes to the life lessons of being someone’s mom. This is one hell of a journey, but it brings something new to my life each day. Being a mother gives me the opportunity to see who I am reflected back to me and offers an abundance of opportunities for me to choose my responses, show compassion and practice everything I preach.  I am so grateful for motherhood and for my developing little people. Motherhood pushes me to be the best me when my children have pushed me to my limits. It pushes me to give sound advice and guidance even in times when I am a little disappointed in them. It helps me find the words I need to speak, when I need to speak them, and when I have no words motherhood makes sure that my body language speaks only love and acceptance.  I am grateful that motherhood continues to show me the things I need to change about myself and even more grateful for my willingness to make the necessary changes and adjustments in order to build a solid foundation for my children. I take full responsibility for every brick that I lay because I am the creator of the stories they will tell one day. Motherhood thank you for their smiles, their laughter, their personalities, their jokes, their tears, their joy, and their many questions. Thank you for giving me the most precious gift life has to offer…LOVE.
